Giancarlo Bergamaschi
Co-Founder and
Architectural Expert
Architect. In the period of university studies he has a working experience in the study of his father; after degree, from 1975 to 2011, he worked as freelancer for Studio Bergamaschi Architettura where, from 1990, became holder. In 2012 he founded STUDIO BERGAMASCHI Architettura e Immobiliare Srl, of which he has become Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. The company is set up to give the customer a 360 degree service, from sale of real estate to architectonic, structural and installations design, and he created the role of General Contractor taking contracts for the execution of restoration and / or renovation works, or new constructions, taking charge also of bureaucratic works.
In 2016 he transformed the society in Studio Bergamaschi Architettura & Immobiliare Srl, services society set on novelty of the works of biobuildings and ecosustainability, putting it able to supply a total level service, through the implementation of appropriate operators, both at professional and executive level.
Nicolò Bergamaschi
Co-Founder and Renewable Energy Expert
Graduated in Computer Engineering at Bologna University, he was approaching to Renewable Energies at the dawn of these technologies in 2007. He worked between Milano and Bologna especially as technical designer in PV plants for a few years. In 2009 he opened "Divisione Energie Alternative" with an EPC Contractor and he collaborated on it working to PV, solar thermal and geothermal plants for 5 years. In the same time he has been certified ISO/Uni 17024 as Energy Management Expert.
In 2014 he became Project Manager for ILF Consulting Engineers in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates). In this new reality he worked in PV, CSP, Wind, Biomasses and hybrids plants in Europe, Middle East and Asia, acquiring new skills also in industrial sectors.
Now is certified Energy Management Expert and Energy Certifier according to DRP 75/2013.
In 2016 he decided to found EcoBerg society.

Desalination & Energy Expert
Dr. Sommariva is Managing Director of ILF Consulting Engineers Middle East and the head of the company’s worldwide desalination practice. He has experience in thermal, reverse osmosis and wastewater systems and has served in various roles in all the major desalination developments in the Middle East.Dr. Sommariva joined ILF in 2009 after working nine years with Mott MacDonald where led the desalination and water treatment group as Managing Director of generation Middle East. In his early career, Dr Sommariva worked in Ansaldo Energia and Italimpianti in various roles.Dr. Sommariva, who is currently President of IDA for the term 2011-2013, served as Co-Chairman of the Technical Program for the 2009 IDA World Congress in Dubai and Chairman of IDA’s recently held conference, “Desalination Industry Action for Good,” a landmark event held in Portofino, Italy that focused on desalination and social responsibility.Dr. Sommariva has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Genoa University and a Diploma in Management from Leicester University. He is an honorary Professor at Genoa and L’Aquila Universities where he holds regular courses on desalination and economics. He has published over 50 papers on desalination leading edge research and economics and published two books on desalination management and economics.He has been President of the European Desalination Society (EDS) and chairman of the World Health Organization’s committee for the establishment of safe drinking water from desalination.
